Things to be ready for in May:
Mary’s Big Quilt Shop – Will meet on Tuesday, May 7, at the firehall from 10-2.
Sew Daze on Saturday the 11th. Bring your machine, gadgets, and a project or three and meet at the fire hall (2123 SW Jackson Hwy, Chehalis) at 9:30. Park in the back of the building; the door is on the left end of the building as you’re facing the fire trucks. Bring your own lunch or something to share.
This Month’s Program – Phyllis Beaver, Quilt Historian!
This Month’s Activity – Show us how you met the Brown Bag Challenge at May’s Show and Tell! Next month is the reveal to show us what you did with your (Star) Block Exchange blocks.
Fat Quarter Theme – “Batiks” – Congratulations to Connie and Kathy F, who shared last month’s Floral FQs.
How are you doing on your Fair Challenge projects? It looks like the 2024 exhibitor’s handbook is now available online at https://southwestwashingtonfair.org/exhibits/entries/open-class-entries/
This year’s theme is ‘Red, White, and Moo’!
The Color Boxes will be collected at this month’s meeting and the blocks handed over to Kathy, Sheron and Valerie S. to make into quilt tops (thank you for volunteering!). Drawings for the quilt tops will be at our August potluck!
…and, a flashback to my childhood, when I was evah-so-clevah:
We all know that April showers bring May flowers, but what do May flowers bring?
Pilgrims!
See you soon!
