November E-Blast

Things to be ready for in November:

Stay-Treat is Saturday and Sunday, November 11-12, at the fire hall. Doors will open at 9 a.m. for set-up.

For those who are taking the Embellished Embroidery class with Susie Bachelor, the class starts at 9:30. Remember to bring your supplies and background fabric with the pattern already traced and ready to go. A **lot** of people signed up for the class, so If you plan to remain afterward for the rest of Stay-Treat, please leave your sewing supplies in your vehicle until class is over.

It’s almost time! We’ll be drawing for the winner of this year’s raffle quilt at the November meeting – there’s still time (and need) to sell tickets! Be sure to bring your sold ticket stubs to Irene at the meeting.

This Month’s Activity – There’s still time to sign up for the Block Exchange – groups of 5 or 6 will chose a theme for star blocks. Each month one of the participants will bring a star for the rest of the members of their group (all the same block). Contact Sandra H right away if you want to play – she needs time to put the groups together!

Fat Quarter Theme – “Leaves”

Congratulations! Jennifer and Shelly won last month’s door prizes, and Crissy and Donna won Halloween fat quarters.

More Congratulations to Lorry and Sherron for winning Mert’s Tablecloth Trivia!

This Month’s Program – Geralyn Reed trunk show. You are NOT going to want to miss this one! (Start at 6:30)

RDQG October E-Blast!

Remember Mary’s Big Quilt Shop meets on October 5 at the Chehalis Fire Hall (2123 Jackson Hwy.) from 10-2.

Sew Daze is Saturday, Oct. 21, at the fire hall, from 9:30-4(ish).

One more month! We’ll be drawing for the winner of this year’s raffle quilt at the November meeting – there’s still time (and need) to sell tickets! Pick up your ticket packets at the October meeting.

There are still opportunities to ‘throw your hat in the ring’ to become part of the 2024 Board. Chat with a Board member soon!

This Month’s Activity – At the last meeting, Sandra handed out the pattern for an adorable autumn table topper. Don’t forget to bring your show and tell to the October meeting (it doesn’t even have to be quilted – we just want to see the cuteness!).

Don’t forget to bring a gift for your Secret Pal.

May Program

We’re looking forward to learning from our guest, Kristy Totten, as she shows us how (and when) to fold our quilts for storage and also shares her wisdom about the importance of labeling your quilts.

UFO Challenge January

This month’s number is

3

Look on the UFO list you created and work on whatever’s at number 3. We hope to see or hear of your progress at the February meeting!

If your #3 is dependent on getting #2 done, just do #2 and switch the numbers. It’s okay. Nobody’s going to judge – the point is to make progress!
