Market Street Bakery Show

We’ve taken a couple of years ‘off’ (hasn’t everyone?) from displaying quilts at the Market Street Bakery at 492 N Market Blvd in Centralia, but happily we’re back!


During the months of May and June from Monday to Friday we’re displaying quilts made by members of the guild for your enjoyment while you’re savoring a yummy bite to eat at the bakery.


Here’s a bit of what you can expect to see during your visit –

Before you leave, be sure to pick up a loaf of sourdough bread to take home – your taste buds will thank you for it!

Our May program was an introduction to Gary and Kristen Rurup of The Shiplap Quilt Shop and Coffee House at 325 Sussex Rd. W., in Tenino, WA.


What a treat! Gary and Kristen are an energetic, inspirational, generous, creative, funny and all-around magical couple. They have a dizzying array of Riley Blake fabrics (and more!) at their adorable shop.


But there’s so much more to this gem of a shop – Bakery goods. Coffee. Unique food gifts. Harris Tweed products. Quilting and sewing notions. Kits. Novelty gifts. More! March Program

A skilled quilter and weaver, Kathleen Ament will be our March speaker in her role as Superintendent of the Home Arts Department at the Southwest Washington Fair.

She will help take the mystery out of which department/division/class a quilt should be entered in. She’ll also point out everything else covered in the Home Arts area.

Did you know the guild sponsors a prize for the people’s choice winner in the pincushion category? Canning and baking are also a part of Home Arts.

Back to Normal?

After 2 years of not having meetings or searching to find a place to meet we are finally able to return to the Twin Cities Senior Center, our old stomping grounds. The address is 2545 N. National Avenue in Chehalis (the map is over on the sidebar there).

We are also meeting monthly again, rather than every other month. Our next meeting will be on March 8th. The doors will be open at 6:00pm so we have time to get settled and chat a bit, then the meeting will begin at 6:30.

Don’t forget that it’s time to send in your 2022 dues. You can bring the payment to the March meeting, mail a check (made out to RDQG) to our treasurer, Beckie, or click over to the Join or Renew page to pay with PayPal.
