Happy May Day, everyone!
Sew Daze is May 10, from 9:30-4:30(ish). Meet at the fire hall (2123 Jackson Hwy, Chehalis) at 9:30. Bring your own lunch or something to share.
Things to be ready for at the May 13 meeting:
This Month’s Program – Lynn Wiltzius with an introduction to Brazilian Embroidery
This Month’s Activity – Pincushions!
- Remember to bring your pizza box to hand off to the next person on the list.
- Have you made an apron yet? Don’t forget to bring it for show and tell!
- This is NOT a Borders Project month (phew!).
Fat Quarter Theme – “Floral”
If you’ve got a Color Box, don’t forget to bring it to return it to Doris or pass along to the next quilter. We’ll need three or four volunteers next month to put the blocks into quilt tops for the August potluck. Please contact Doris if you’re willing to help!

This year’s SWW Fair theme is “Saddle Up for the SWW Fair”. Coral found a stunning challenge fabric to use in fair entries (and it’s not brown!). Be prepared to pick up a fat quarter to use in your project ($2).
NEW! Our Spring Stay-Treat is scheduled for May 30-June 1 (Friday-Sunday) at the fire hall. Sheron will teach us how to make fabric origami flowers. Sign-up sheets for the class, class and stay-treat, and only stay-treat will be available at the May meeting. Cost for the retreat is $25.
Congratulations to Connie, the winner of the Potluck Blocks !
More congratulations to our door prize winners Jan and Tonya, AND to Mary H. and Chrissy, winners of the yellow fat quarters!
Are you a veteran? Let us know!
I hope you’re enjoying the Spring season – don’t forget: Layers ![]()
