Each year the guild has a fundraiser to support our Community Service efforts. We make quilts for donation to beginning-of-life and end-of life patients at local hospitals, and patients at local dialysis centers. Last year we donated 248 quilts to these organizations, and the need grows each year.

This year our fundraising quilt, “Mexican Star Dance” by Southwind Designs, is a gorgeous design in warm modern colors. It was custom-quilted by Sandra Jeffers. The quilt measures approximately 80×80″ and would look amazing on a double/full-sized bed.

The quilt will be on display and tickets for sale every Tuesday throughout the summer in front of the Market Street Bakery & Cafe in Chehalis, from 11-2:00.

It will also put in an appearance at Briar Cottage Fabrics in Tenino on July 22, smack in the middle of Oregon Trail Days.

There will be other locations and opportunities to enjoy this beauty throughout the year, hopefully they will be noted on our calendar.
